From The New York Times: Many Unhappy Returns

Now that President Bush has vaguely hinted to an overhaul of the Social Security system, without pain or sacrifice for anyone, this Krugman column is timely and illuminating. The sleight-of-hand, the "smoke and mirrors" methodologies will not cut it.
